Have you had a moment when you stopped, took a deep breath, and realized God provided something you never knew you needed? I had this type of moment recently and it took my breath away!

For me, my moment came as a result of thanking God for the many ways He has provided for me and True Vine Ministry. Twelve years ago God called me to begin a speaking and writing ministry for women. Let me be clear and say that I had no idea what to do or even how to begin a ministry. I reme...

Have you studied the Armor of God? If not, today is the day! You will be SO encouraged by the weapons God provides for everyday life. The calling card of Satan is deceit, but God's Word trumps him every single time. So, if you are like me, and think of yourself as an everyday girl who loves Jesus, dig in and learn about the different pieces of the armor!

I recorded a three-part podcast series on the armor of God and my heart was encouraged by the goodness of God to give us a visual picture...

Last week I spoke at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church at their monthly Refresh event. What a great group of ladies! I spoke on the topic of Comparison. The Lord was so clear during my time of preparation as He revealed areas of sin and pride in my life. (My toes, Y'all!) In order to process all the Lord was teaching me, I wrote out my teaching outline. I am sharing my outline with you today. Please know this was never meant to be published so my thoughts are in bullet point format. If this can help...

It’s a new year! Can you believe it? Seems like yesterday we were welcoming 2018 and thinking about the potential it held. Now, we are looking back and saying, “time flies!”

Each year I make a list of things I would like to work on or keep in front of me. My list for 2018 was made up of five power-packed words. I wanted to be a gospel-centered, Bible-loving, kingdom-advancing, truth- clinging, Satan-stomping, daughter of the King. I looked at the list almost every day. I challenged my actions to line...

I have so much on my heart and mind this rainy Friday morning. Mainly Jesus. I was on the phone yesterday with a friend and said, ”Without Jesus, I would be such a mess.” I think it’s easy to say things like that, but yesterday, I stopped and really thought about it. Without Jesus, all of us would be a mess! (Can I get an amen?) Our reality would be summed up with words like lost, desperate, alone, hopeless, helpless, frightened, forgotten, and afraid. But Jesus! The Angel appeared to the shepherds a...

Sometimes it takes days, even weeks, to process what God is doing in our lives. His ways are higher than our ways!

Three years ago, I attended Women's Leadership Forum in Nashville, TN. (Hosted by LifeWay) The Forum is the BEST leadership development conference I have attended. National speakers, worship leaders, breakout session leaders, and top-level mission and ministry leaders are on hand to pour into women's lives and ministry callings. I remember being at the event and soaking up every ounce of...

I was sitting in my car having my quiet time just before my first meeting of the day. (Because sometimes my quiet times happen... on the go!) I was reading John 13, and thinking about the call to love and serve others.

John 13 always challenges me. In the passage, the Cross is quickly approaching on the Kingdom calendar, and every word and action of Jesus comes with an exclamation mark! Usually, when we talk about this familiar passage, we focus on Jesus washing the disciples feet...

I live in Conway, Arkansas. The name of our county is Faulkner County. I have the honor of writing a monthly spiritual column for a magazine called Faulkner Lifestyle. The magazine is delivered to businesses around our community. I share the gospel, tell stories from my life, and do my best to encourage people in their relationship with God. I love writing for Faulkner Lifestyle! My inspiration each month comes from my social media posts. The posts that get the most likes and shares are usually devel...

October 1, 2018

It's the first day of October, and true to Arkansas weather, it's muggy and humid. (I love my home state!) This morning I was prepping for my radio program, and thinking about God's Word. I turned to Psalm 119 because it's my fave, go to chapter, for knowing and following God's Word.

I was reading and absolutely struck by verse 32. "I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free." Y'all, have you ever heard anything SO beautiful? I stopped reading and started thinking. Go...
